Let's Go Outside!
Today Miles got a chance to hang out with both of his Grandmothers at the same time. What a treat! We all went outside to enjoy the sun, water and swing. It was the best investment ever! His Godmommy got him a water table and it will be here in a few days, can't wait, thanks Step!
Enjoy the pics!

Good Gnu's
Cousin Jackson and his mommy and daddy are in town. We got a chance to visit and hang out. Miles had just gotten up froma nap and wasn't really ready to socialize, but after awhile he was scootin around the house running his Uncle Sonny ragged! When jackson saw that Miles was having a mini meltdown, he tried to comfort him by giving him a hug. It was too sweet. Jackson is a few short months older than Miles but clearly at these stages of life it seems like years. Anyhoo, Miles ate french fries and chicken fingers and was a happy camper. They even managed to squeezed in a hug when saying goodbye! I'm sorry I don't have any pics but we are supposed to be getting together again so ai'll be sure to take a ton!
Well that's all folks!

We're Back!
Friday was better for us. I helped set up for reunion registration and make name tags. Oh yeah it was hella hot and humid! So much so my MIL had gotten sick (Sorry Arlene for putting you on blast). By the Round-up she was back to her old self again. Speaking of the round-up it was full of family, food and games. Miles did wonderfully! No freaking out or anything. We had a Black Cowboy come to speak to us. There was karioke and I caught that on video. Later on Arlene (MIL) sat with Miles as he slept so Ryan and I could take a walk. Ok first of all no one told me that the crickets some out to dance around your toes! We looked at the stores that sold everything from BBQ to Southwestern decor. I got a frozen blue margartita and it was good! We strolled past a place called Booger Reds Saloon!
Saturday was the Family Picnic, and last nights frozen drink put me on my arss! Really bad hangover, hedache form hell! I stayed at the room and Ryan and Miles went without me and I tried to sleep it off I didn't start to feel better until about 7:45 pm and by that time we went to the rodeo. I loved it! But I knew I would. They even has kids chasing sheep and a calf. Loads of fun. Miles loved it too he even bopped to the beat of the country tunes that were playing then he fell asleep.
Sunday we were supposed to go to church but Miles devloped a cough and it didn't sound good and we kept him in to rest. Ryan was exhausted and stayed with the baby and I went to the passing of the gavel. That happens at the end of every family reunion and the next family will plan the reunion 2 years from now. We will be in Chi-town! ans the theme is baseball! Can't wait!

I Rock! Thankyouverymuch!
Lindsay had a surprise for me the other day on her blog and yes I am just now saying a bloggy thank you! I did email her and thanked her for the award! I never win anything.... ever! So when someone else thinks you rock, it means alot. As mothers or parents in general, we do do things like change poopy pampers, wipe up vomit from a sick kiddo, stay up all night when your little one is teething so bad that he can't sleep, for the recognition. We do it because we have to. I don't know how the battle between the SAHM's, Working Mom's, Single Mom's and the like got started but I do know one thing for sure it needs to stop! If you are a good mother that that should be all that matters. I hear all the time, "Did you find a job yet?" or "Your son is 18months and he's not in Daycare?" I do what works best for our family, just like my cousin Lara who left her job to go to Law School full time (you rock!), JJ, who has been a SAHM and her girl is 3, Chelle who just had her second child(Ethan and daughter Becca) and moved her family to the Hill (you rock!), Tanyetta, my girl from Cali who was putting her thang down while her hubby was in Iraq (you rock!), Tasha who is a single working mom with dream and aspirations( you rock!), Yazzie, who has two girls and does stand up comedy and is funny as hell!(you rock!). Do you see where I am going with this? We need to stick together and unite under the "motherhood umbrella". If you know a mother in your life even if it is your own mother, but let her know what a great job she is doing with her child/children, I guarantee that you'll get a smile and it will mean the world to her! And if you can't then maybe you should call Family Services :)
So thanks again Lindsay!
LOST!
Can you believe that I have lost this beauty? My dear husband bought this phone for me and I love this phone! Everything about it was just cool. I went to the Eye doctor today and they dilated my eyes and it must have done a job on my brain, because I don't remember much after the exam! I couldn't see much and when I tried my head would ache something horrible. My dear lil gadget is gone. I had to come to terms with the fact that I was going to have to cancel my number for the obvious reasons. Mama Pearl is gone. May we have a moment of silence.
Lesson Learned from all of this: Leave cell at home when going to eye doctors!
