BREAKING NEWS!

We took Miles to the doctor today for his last visit before he turns 1. As soon as Dr. White opened the door, he was all smiles! He really likes his doctor and that make me feel do comfortable. When they weighed him they said NO MORE baby scale! Onward to the big people scale. Well here are the stats from the visit!

weight: 20lbs

length: 28 2/3 inches

head circ: 19 inches

Dr. White has given us the green light to try more foods with the exception of nuts, cow's milk and eggs. She also said that Miles' records are up to date and guess what folks?

It's Pumpkin Day!

Today we went to Linvilla Orchards and had a great time. Ryan and I had been when we were kids and now we are bringing Miles. We saw all kinds of things: goats, lambs, sheep, pigs, emu, Elmo, bunnies, and bumble bees! Miles had an Apple Cider slushie and devoured it. He made new friends and really like having his picture taken! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do!

And We Rocked.

Wow! What a beautiful day! The weather was absolutely wonderful! I almost want to break out into song. But I'll spare you. Today was another day off for Ryan and we just rode around town with the baby. Miles' day didn't start off well at all. He was up off and on last night and refused to take his nap this morningand didn't take one until about 12pm.

We went to a Thrift Store not far from our home and I got some really good finds. I got 7 pieces of Pyrex and Corningware dishes for $7.48! But I digress, I can remember commenting on my cousin's blog about how fast our kids are morphing from the snuggly, cuddly, "mommy hold me" to "mini taz's"! I really miss the little boy that needed me for everything...now he thinks he can do it all on his own. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that he's discovering the world including our living room, one DVD at a time!

On with the story, when it was time for bed(both baby and mommy were wiped out!) Miles cooperated and help with putting his PJ's on, diaper change was smooth and after that was done I stood him up and whispered in his ear like a secret," I love you so much and I'm thrilled to be your Mommy. Today was challenging and we both made it out in one piece. Now it's time for you my love to go to bed and when you wake up, we will start a new day." I gave him a kiss and he kissed me back( his version). Then........ the moment that I have missed, returned in a split second. He climbed up into my lap and put one hand on my chest (cleavage) and the other hand on my arm, then laid his head on my shoulder and we rocked and rocked .... and we rocked.

I was almost brought to tears as I reminenced how it used to be, it was like he knew I needed it. He knew that the was the very thing to make mommy feel better. We sat and rocked for about 15 minutes. Everyday I am amazed at my son and all the new things he learns. Thank You Miles!

9 mos in 10 days!

Everytime I look at Miles, I notice some thing new. If you look at my boy, he has mine and his father's eyes. Right eye is his daddy's and the left is mine. At least I think so.

... doesn't really keep the doctor away, Mommy says that I go to the doctor's on the 26th of September. We'll keep you updated! Oh Yeah I love eating APPLES!

Bedtime

Dad is working a 24-hour shift and Mommy and I have had a grest time today! We played peek-a-boo, blew bubbles, climbed stairs, touched my first dust bunny, and took a bath!

My Grandmommy bought these "big boy" P.J.'s. I just love them! They have cool Space ships and planets and stars and stuff. It Even glows in the dark!





Well it' s time for this little boy to go to bed, my Daddy will be home in the morning and my Grandpoppie is coming to see me too!











Maybe Mommy will cook her famous
panna-cakes! " What's famous?" She said
once I get teeth I can have one. Keep your fingers crossed!

Don't I look beat? Nite-nite, sleep tight and don't fall out of the bed!

Labor Day!

Grandmommy and Grandpoppie had a cook out --in. We had a really good time. There was alot of food! Miles had some BBQ chicken and enjoyed it! He had a chance to crawl on hardwood floors and found out that he can move faster and cover more space. We took a couple of pictures to share with you all.

We Have A New Cousin!

Today Cousin Rikki marries Troy! I hope they are as happy as my Mommy and Daddy are! I can't wait to meet you, new cousin Troy. I am sorry that I wasn't able to make it to the wedding. Daddy had to work and I wouldn't have made a very good guest. I have had some really bad pain in my mouth. I think I'm getting more teeth or maybe the two that I have are trouble-makers. Nothing my Mommy gives me seems to work. Thank you Mommy for being so patient with me! Anyhoo, Congratulations!
