Here's what we are up to!
I knew that my visit with Dr. White is coming to an end and it was time to see the man with the needles. I was a little squirmy but held it together until .... ooooowwwwwwwwwwwww the shot! He wasn't able to draw the blood for lead testing so we have to go the hospital for that! Whuptie Doo!
Once we left the Dr's office we went to my Grandma Arlene's house where I met my uncle Bryan, my daddy's twin brother.
Then we all walked up to the barber shop and watched as the barber nearly scalped me. Mommy had to go behind the barber and even my hair out so it all looks blended! I'm sure you all have had a chance to see those pics already so here is a THEN and NOW pic.
My Birthday was very eventful !
Saturday is the big Family Dinner on my Daddy's side of the family. Every Saturday after Christmas we all get together and reminisce of the days past. It is a good time had by all. Good food, good drinks and good fun! This year is the year of the new babies, last year there were about 5 cousins that were pregnant at the same time and I was due to be born anyday ay that point. I was all decked out in a blue corduroy all-in-one and my suede saddle shoes and new haircut. I was ready to take on the world or so I thought. Well family began coming up to me one by one and that was overwhelming and it was getting louder and louder ! Que crying babies! Well for lack of a better phrase All hell broke loose! I was crying so hard that my little face turned red, and into a fever. Mommy stripped me out of my clothes to try to cool me off and calm me down and nothing worked. My Mom and Dad were doing everything they could think of to make me feel better. I was still crying hysterically! They re-dressed me and took me for a car ride around the neighborhood and that made me feel alot better. They took me out of the car and tried again and I started back up again. Mom and Dad decided to just take me home. Family members tried to convince them to stay but they wanted to what was best for me and that was to remove me from the situation. I was really afraid. Shucks! What do you want from me folks I am just one years old for Pete's sake! I have the best parents in the whole wide world!
I wubba you!

Christmas with Miles
December 25, 2006
Miles' first and last Christmas at this house. I was a bit dissappointed that I wasn't in our new home for his 1st Christmas. But after being with my crazy family , I realized that it really dosen't matter where you are as long as you have your family! I lost sight of that and couldn't see past my own selfishness! Merry Christmas everyone!

Great News!
Thursday, December 07, 2006
Miles was at his cousin Nailah's First Birthday party last weekend and She had Santa Pay all the good little boys and girls a visit. Ryan and I were confident that Miles would handle the red-clad dude very well. Miles realized that Santa didn't have any food or snacks and decided that he was out of there and was trying to climb down his lap. Ryan and I just knew that Miles was going to try to pull Santa's beard off of his face. He kept his cool.

I am 11 Months Old Today!
My Mommy and I are a little under the weather. We both have runny noses and give each other tag team aspirator treatments. Mommy's throat is becoming very sore, maybe its from singing all of the Backyardigan songs at the top of her lungs! I had a slight fever but its gone now. This cold hasn't stopped me from doing the things in my daily routine. I am cutting three more teeth at the same time. I really enjoy cruising around the house, especially creating my own obstacle courses. I like climbing over end under the rungs and legs of chairs. Mom is busy with me as well as packing up our stuff to prepare for our BIG MOVE! She really has her hands full.
Mommy had to weigh me on the scale before she gave me some medicine and it read 24.5 lbs! We'll get more accurate numbers at my check up! That's next month, and boy is it going to be crazy! The following things happen in December:
- 12 month check up.
- 1st hair cut
- Birthday on the 28th.
- settle on both homes on the 18th.
- Nailah's B-day Party on the 2nd.
- A baby shower on the 3rd
- Moving Day TBA
I will keep you posted , but for now I need to get some rest.
Love,
Miles

When you wish upon a list...
Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you have been asking what to get Miles for Christmas and/or his Birthday so I started a wish list for him. This list will give you an idea of what types of things he'd like. He is also taking more of an interest in his board books. He really enjoys The Backyardigans! Miles clothing size 12-18mos and is transitioning into a size 4.5 shoe. If you still need suggestions or want to run something past me let me know.
Best Wishes,
Melanie A. Johnson

Gone But Not Forgotten
Ryan had given me these bunnies on our 1st Christmas in our home. This is how he did it...
On Christmas morning he gave me a little pink bunny with a carrot with earrings in her ear. And I was getting all giddy. Then he said if you don't like this one you might like this one and pulled out the white bunny and placed him in my arms. Before I knew it he said now if you don't like taht one how about this one and he handed me the brown one. Now my eyes are burning from trying to hold the tears back. I have two rabbits! Anyone who know us knows that theses two were our first babies b4 Miles.
I just can't beleive that now they are both gone!
I am ending it now because I'm sad!
We love you WONDER BUNNIES!
