Well some of you know that Miles has been attending Easter Seals for Early Intervention and now that he is five years old he will no longer be attending as he will be going to Kindergarten this fall! These are the photos he will take at ES. It is a very bittersweet time for us because it seems like only yesterday we were finding out his diagnosis of PDD-NOS. He has been with the same teacher for the past three years! Miles has gown leaps and bounds and still has a way to go but we are hopeful that Kindergarten will be a success!

Miles, I created this blog when you were just a babe and it helped me meet new mommies as well as keep me sane. Ihave watched you grow and develop in a way that 5 years later still astounds me! You are everything that I prayed for and couldn't ask for more ...well maybe ! LOL! You have always done things in your own time. You would perform at the last minute for the stress tests right before they were ready to send me to Labor and Delivery to put me on a surveillance right up until going past you due date( 3 days late)! Even being induced wasn't enough of a kick in the pants!

I love that you like to learn new things and a lover of books! You are incredible with nunbers, letters and languages. My only wish for you is that you will realize just how truely talented and special you are!

Fall is here! Although it was like 76 degrees today, it is in fact fall. It is almost Halloween and this year Miles has told me that he doesn't want to dress up. So I figured that he would like to help me carve a Jack-o-lantern. I was right! He enjoyed scooping the fleshy part as well as try to taste raw pumpkin!

I have been away and completely addicted to Facebook! I'm not sure who still reads this blog anymore but I will continue the best I can to keep updating it! Since October( my last post) things have been goin quite well! Miles is now reading books. He also is doing quite well at Easter Seals ( attends 3x a week). His teachers and thereapists are really pleased with his progress and so are we for that matter!

Miles turned 4 years old on December 28, 2009 and we actually had a party for him. He had the time of his life! We had it at the Bounce . We had the whole place to ourselves and man did the kids have a ball! I was great to see his cousin Maddie who we haven't seen since her baby shower! Both of his gradmothers were there and his cousins too!

Miles got roller skates for his Birthday, and he calls them roller skapes! he wears them around the house just waiting for it to warm up a bit! He still love music and has a passion for all kinds of numbers and letters, especially Japanese! He loves to sing and got a kiddie MP3 loaded with nursery songs. He still has all of his food allergies but is not allergic to cats and dogs!

He makes up stories just to hear himself say "once upon a time"!

We are preparing to go to Hawaii in April and Miles will be staying with his grandparents. Oh what fun we all will have I will be sure to post before then but for now blog family I do not feel well and I am gonna rest for now! Love Ya!

It has been a really long time since I actually posted to Miles' blog! There have been many things going on the the Johnson house. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my only boy, Miles in moving up to "Big Boy" under wear! I began the potty training process the day after my sleep stud and I was haggard! But in a week he was getting the hang of it! We need to work on nite time potty! Any and all suggestions are welcome! Miles has also begun to read words! Wooot! I was so pleased, so I just made up a couple of flash cards and we play a game. His teachers suggested that I put pictures with the words and for some sight words its a little hard. He taught me and Ryan how to sign the alphabet. He is an excellent teacher... very patient.

He is constantly gaining confidence and Independence with everything he does! This summer, at the shore, he was determined to get into the swimming pool by himself. While I was nervous we allowed him. Lessons will be coming soon! Miles really likes to sing and learns them fast! He sings all over the house.

I can't believe that he will be 4 this year! Year three seemed long ans challenging at times but I am so happy with Miles' progress. Two years ago I wasn't sure what we were in for, but was up to the challenge!

Oh yeah! He wont nap anymore! I do however put him in his room for alone time! Sometimes he'll sleep but most days NO!

Today, before Miles had to go to school we Took him to the Please Touch Museum. He really had a good time. He directed us this time instead of us prompting him. It was great to seem him interacting with other kids and making good decisions! What a kid!

I am pleased to report that Miles has really done well with potty training. I was quasi-following the Potty Training in 3 day manual and I must admit I was a skeptic at first and still wasn't convinced by the end of day 1. Miles went to school and i am to assume that he did well because he was still wearing the same clothes. He has been having NO accidents and asking to use the potty and use it! He is soooooo cute in the BIG BOY undawears! He loves to wear them, mostly taking them off. He was flashing the cheeks a few times! We will continue this journey, we couldn't be more proud of you Miles! I feel so lucky that I was home to show him the ropes. Not having a 9-5 outside of the home has allowed me to pick up where we left off a year and a half ago!

Potty Training!

DAY 1
This is Miles on his first day of Potty training. I took off his pull-up ant told him that we are going to be putting our pee and poop in the toilet from now on. He listened to me and looked as if I had given him a lecture on quantum physics! I was dead tired after having spent the night at a sleep study. Miles made 4 total accidents and no deposits in the potty. I do put a pull up on him for sleep times but as soon as he gets up they undies go right back on!

DAY 2

I don't have a pic for day 2, however I have great news to report Miles only messed up two pairs of undies and and made a pee pee deposit. His nannie( Arlene) was there to witness it! He was so excited that he put pee in the potty. He was singing and dancing around the house. I have had my eyes glued on him every second so that I would be able to see what he looks like when he gets the urge! He is so cute ! He says things like I pee peed !

Day 3

Today Miles had to wear a pull up for an errand but he still is responsible for letting us know if he has to pee or poop. By the time we got home it was nap time and he had on undies once he woke up! He began to look funny and was grabbing his penis and had a nervous look and he ran toward the bathroom and i picked him up and put him on the pot and he peed. He kept saying he was finished and I was able to distract him by singing a song and he peed again. The some time later he asked for the potty and he had an explosion! (nuff said). Then he was off and playing again. I noticed that he was tugging at his undies so I carted him to the potty twice and he did nothing. He had this deer in headlights look and I knew it! He wouldn't move at all and before I knew it he had pooped and I had to carry him to the bathroom and clean him up. We tossed the undies, put on a new pair and we have been smooth sailing ever since. He has peed once more in the potty and haven't had to change his undies. He goes back to his afternoon class tomorrow and they will be instructed no to put a pull up on him. I need to apologize to what readers I have left! I can't believe that I have been away for such a long time! Well her is and update on the family:

MILES

Miles is doing very well. He has however been sick off and on as usual, colds and such. Right now I am trying to get his skin under control. He eczema had been set off by something. He's reading books, and especially loves to look at catalogs for school supplies! He his actually reciting the Dr, Seuss ABC book.( only because we read it with him at least five time before bed since he was 1 yr old! He enjoys his sign language book and can sign his name. His teachers are very impressed with his puzzle completing abilities, letter , number, shapes and color recognition( although he knew them before he got to preschool!) He sings a lot now too! He loves Laruie Berkner's " Monster Boogie" and " Rocket ship Run" and the classic, "Where is Thumbkin?" He can be seen dancing and singing in a living room near you!

Miles knows now to give a grown-up his hat and coat when he gets in from school, instead of dropping it all for us to get. He also helps with getting dressed in the morning as well as undressed for bed. He praises himself when he knows he has done something "good" . He'll say, "good boy"! He will also say it if he knows he's gonna get in trouble. He's a slick one. He's following directions better,we still are working on that.

Can we talk about his temper? Man alive! I really can't talk b/c I have a red hot temper so I may have something to do with that! lol. He will get in a mood and once it has started that's a wrap!TANTRUM CENTRAL! I personally am not a fan of it but jeez he's three! I guess we got lucky because his two's were pretty mild. Making up for lost time I guess.

Miles is sooooooo affectionate he pres u when he wants a hug. He'll say, " I give u a hug" and hug your neck really tight! He loves Eskimo and butterfly kisses.

Miles is an arts and crafts kid! Stickers and paint are his medium!

We are pleased as pie that Miles is doing so well! We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in November! We were able to get away to our hiding spot, but I had a broken foot. He loves his job and I hate mine but understand and am grateful to have a job but first chance I get Im outta there!

Well on Monday as I was getting Miles and I ready, We headed down the stairs and man are we running late! The doorbell rang and instead of taking our time and counting each step, I threw him on my hip and bolted down the stairs! We got to the landing and i took a step as is to take s step on the floor and I twisted my ankle and fell down three steps! Yes Miles was in my arms ! He's fine however I broke a bone iin my foot. Ugh I hust twisted both my ankles before Christmas and now I actually broke the booger! I go to the Foot Doctor on Friday. Wish me luck!

I know its been a long time since you were able to read about Miles! I do apologize. I have really been busy with me Day Care center. As the Director, I am doing everything all at once. We are really taking off! Our corporate office was visiting as well as auditing us and they couldn't stop saying how much the center has improved. I hung out with the senior VP of Operations and she was really impressed! Next Saturday is our Grand Re-Opening and we have all kinds of stuff going on!

Well enough about lil ol me on with the show!

Miles Is still at the Day care I hate! But that's about to change on Payday! We found a day care that is a home day care. we went to visit last week and I think he liked it. He wasn't shy at all! Ryan and I are really excited to see if this will be a match!

We went to Linvilla Orchards a couple of weeks ago and he and his Elijah had a ball! We saw ducks, bunnies, goats and emus. I even let a horse eat out of my hand ... I loved it! I have been looking for the right costume this Halloween and I finally found it at Old Navy. Miles will be a Monkey! He actually has tried it on and seems to like it!

The other day Miles was counting and I noticed that he was counting in Spanish! It took me a second and then I realized he was saying, "oona,das, tess,cato, seeno, sees,c-tay, ocho, newvie, dees! He's also can recognize the letters of the alphabet in sign language. He gives the best hugs. He says delicious and yum when things are good. He says your welcome and expects you to say thank you!

He also has a buddy at school and her name is Kaylen. The two of them are inseparable. Wherever he goes she is right behind him. they hold hand at the lunch table and he even shares his pretzels with her!

I know that I have not done well posting about the lil man! My apologies! I'll get right down to business.

It's no real surprise that I haven't been happy with the daycare Miles is currently attending, but I am please to say that Ryan and I finally looked into the day care right down the street from the house, it isn't the most upscale place but it didn't send me running! Miles goes for a trial week this week and we will see how he adjusts. Its in an old building that is part of a church. I am in the middle of a battle with Miles' Director (of the same company), she has some animosity toward me b/c I have her Office Coordinator at my center now and my baby is getting caught in the crossfire. I knew this was gonna happen at some point but not this soon. So I really need to get my child out of this company. She is nit-picking over everything and she doesn't have a thing on me!
It is time that Miles and I be separate so that he will no longer be a pawn in here twisted game of stupid!

I still hate my job and a few of the people as well! My newest nemesis, is the union rep and she is sneaky! She was caught covering up a part of a poster I made. So I out rightly accused her and she basically blew me off. so I will reassign her as a floater instead of a School age teacher! She will be there only to give breaks and serve lunch. Maybe that will piss her off enuf to quit! She thinks jus b/c she is a union rep she is untouchable! Imma 'bout to touch the @$%# out of her!

As always I am looking for something that I enjoy or at least be content with.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Is about all I can say right now. I have to give Lindsay over at my Splattered Painted Life ginormous-est thank you ever! She is the best! Just take a look at the make over she gave Miles' blog. All I was trying to do was finally be able to support her in hard work to save the world and this was the prize! I love the work she does on blogs as well as her efforts to help those who can't.

I met Lindsay wow I think a year ago, thru Blogger and we have chatted on each other's sites and almost had a chance to meet when I had a Family reunion in TX. The goofball that I can be sometimes didn't exchange info for it to go down. What makes it worse is that I think we were really close by. I would love to see our kiddos become fast friends! This is the after effects of a 2.6 year old boy who been attempting to climb out of his crib. The last couple of days Miles has really been trying to climb out of his crib.Last night Ryan was wowrking anight shift =me and Miles home alone! No big deal right I do it all the time, right? Well Miles had other plans. I heard a thud but wasn't sure if it was in my hgouse or nest door. I ran up the steps to see Miles clinging to his crib railing with a stream of blood tricling from his mouth! Red waterfall. I went nuts, i grabbed him and found a towel and wet to stop the bleeding, by then we were both covered in it. His lips looked like a giraffe ( that's for u Janet :) ) I was crying worse that he was. Needless to say he wasn't going back in his rrom after that and he also wasn't aleeping another wink in that crib. Ok may after the nap today( note the evidence above).

Is my hubbie great or what?

This weekend we were supposed to be headed to the Flea Market, but wound up at Best Buy in Delaware. We went to look at SLR cameras. He got me the Cannon XTI!

I have always had an affinity for taking pictures. My Grandfather introduced me to the art. He had a dark room and everything. I think that was the time of those Kodak Disc cameras or the kind that took 110 film. He didn't consider those "real" cameras! He tought me the basics on a 35mm Minolta and I took that info and kept taking pictures. I had even joined the Photography club and was on the 6th grade yearbook committee.

Now my dream of owning this camera has come true. Here's just a couple of pics just messing around nothing serious.

My Mommy and Daddy have been haveing a hard time trying to figure out what exactly what to do woth my hair. Ever since I got my first bath my hair has never been the same. As I got older my hair would change textures. Mommy hated my very first haircut from the barber and had to give me another cut to repair the holes the drunken fool left on my head. Ever since then She has been my barber. I would sit pretty still for her but that didn't last long at all. I had a dislike for any hair tool ie. brush, pick, comb,etc. I run and scream to the top of my lungs. So mommy would just do it when she washed my hair. Oh how I love that! (insert sarcasm)

Well now I am on my second Day Care and I really like it everthing is brand new and every teacher knows me and loves me. Mommy wants me to have shorter hair to help her with grooming me! So I have a slightly older cousin Zebbie III and he gets his hair cut all the time and Mommy loves his cut. So last week we went to the same barber and man did I hate it. But now I look at my self in the mirror ALL THE TIME! Here are some pice of the event!

Wow! Recently I have been feeling like a real loser at my job and no matter how many times I repeat my mantra, I don't feel like a winner! Well today I am a winner. I won a contest a really cool contest. If you read my blog you know that my good bloggy gal pal Lindsay @ My
Splatter Painted Life held a win a template contest and I won. I read on her blog a while back that she was training to run in a half marathon and I wanted to donated to her cause but i was broke as a joke and late on bills blah blah blah, but I fell that it is very important to give back someway somehow. I am even trying to get the two year old to give back so we are going to collect all the spare change and donate it in his name and hopefully when he is older he'll get it.

Day Care Blues!

Lately Miles' daycare has been slipping! The past few times that I have taken Miles to school, we have been ignored! Miles already doesn't like to go to school and I am beginning to know why. When we arrive, I take his coat and hat off, give him his juice and cereal, hug and kiss him, then scoot him into his room. He begins to cry and my heart breaks into a million little pieces and out of the four teachers who are gathered around talking, NO ONE does anything about the crying child. Not one of the teachers speak to us when we arrive. So I ask one of the slackers where the Director is and as soon as they reply and I go and find her I hear someone call his name.

When I found the Director, I had to speak with her about what had just happened and she nodded me up and down and said that they were going to handle it. Yeah right! I already had a talk about Miles' sensitive skin and how Miles comes home smelling of bad perfume and it is breaking his face out. I am not exaggerating when I say that it gets so bad that he scratches his face until bloody. I emailed her a memo about it and he got his daily report on Friday, it said, Instructions from Parent: Do not hold Miles he may be breaking out from teacher's perfurm. Yes I left the misspelled words in on purpose!

We are, to say the least fed up and ready to pull him out! My memo didn't say anything about not holding my child. If Miles was an infant would I be getting the run around? Our request are not unreasonable but they are necessary. Any suggestions? Advice? I am on fire right now!

Miles got this vest along with a couple of other thing from Cynthia, a young lady at my job. Her son is about a year older than Miles and thought that he would fit it. I put it on him and he didn't take it of until he thouoght that he might get it dirty ( Dinner time). Too Smooth right!

Well the boy is sick AGAIN! He has an ear infection in his left ear. I took him to the Dr's office Satuday, she looked at his ear and siad you're right Mom he has an ear infection! Well this poor kid can't catch a break. He stared Day Care Dec 4th and had beed sick with something eversince! So today he stayed home with me since he had a fever too high to go to school! He's doing much better. Notice the bath robe. It was given to him from one of my MIL's friends, whose name I forget but than you so very much kept it on for more tha 10 min!

Today we went to the mall in Delaware. Tax free shopping baby! Well anyhoo, we went there to so I could get a new phone tax free. BTW it is a Blackberry Titanium Curve ( so pretty!) While at the Mall, we saw the Easter Bunny and I just had to get Miles' pic with him. He really wasn't interested in the rabbit but more interested in the eggs(part of the decor mind you) and throw them. I finally got him to take the pic but the hook was I am in it as well! So people enjoy here's the latest flick of ya boy!

Hey Everybody!

A lot has happened since the last post. As you all may know I started a new job on December 4th as an Office Coordinator/Assistant Director in training and a little over a month I was promoted and re-located to a different site as a Director. I was apprehensive about leaving Miles at a Center ALONE without my eyes on him. It made me sick to think that I could see him when I wanted to. Then again he had finally stopped crying ALL day long and was beginning to enjoy school. I would have taken him with me but it was stupid to start the whole process all over again! Plus all the teachers who love him to death told me if I took Miles to the other Day Care, I would be in for a beat down! :)

So, I left him at the old Day Care and I went on to the new one. I was and still am unprepared to be a director. I was told that there was already a director there and we'd work together and get more training. Well that is a BIG fat lie! When I got there teacher do whatever they want and the place is out of control! The director that is there doesn't do a thing but Run and HIDE from her responsibility! That means I do her job too! Oh I hate the disorganization and the chaos. Have you ever been in a position of authority and you don't have complete autonomy? This is how it is! I am kept behind the computer handling all of the Center's business while it goes to hell in a hand basket! SO I have absolutely had enough of this CRAP! I am going to do what's best for the center and deal with repercussions later.

Ryan and I got a chance to have a weekend getaway, curtousy of my MIL. She kept Miles in exchange for sending us away. We really had a great time being hubbie and wife, instead of Mama and Da-deee. We ate really great food and great drinks! I can't wait to do it again! We left after work last Friday and came back on Sunday to two ickie sickies. Miles and his gramma were sick. Oh Great! Miles had the yuck butt and a fever until Monday afternoon, which meant that I had to stay home with chap! Then later that evening when Ryan got home from work, he was hit and at 2:30 am on Tuesday i got hit with the yuck butt! Oh it was ugly! We were all so very weak and dehydrated . By Wednesday we weren't as bad but it was like a nightmare. It was painful then came the fever! Ryan was back to wotk on Wednesday and I went back on Thursday. I am beat !

Well I have been dealing with some health issues for the past week. As some of you know, I have a kidney disease called Polycistic Kidney Disease. As a part of having this disease, I suffer with kidney stones. WARNING!!! There has been alot of blood in my urine and I thought that I could flush my system with water and be ok --- not the case! This past Sunday I went to the ER, because I couldn't take the pain any longer! I got a CAT Scan and they said that I had a stone in my bladder 7mm and my largest cyst was 7.3 cm. I don't think that I have past it yet. I went to the urologist and I have to come back for more tests to see what is going on.

I couldn't believe that I was in sooooooo much pain and how long it took for them to tell me what I already knew. But isn't that always the way? Anywhoo I am doing much better and not wanting to begin my routine!

They did tell me that my kidney function is normal and my creatinine is WNL. Yea!

I would like to apologize to all of the people who read the blog. I took a page from a fellow blogging mommy and wanted a more secure site. I have a lot of pictures of Miles and I didn't want them to fall into the wrong hands. I tried to invite the people I whose email I knew, please it was nothing personal.

On to other news : My Birthday is on Friday and I will be turning 35! Yup I said it ! I am really OK with it. Miles' Birthday was last Friday and had a great time! Guess what kind of cake we had? Give Up? A Rice Krispie Treat Cake made by Grandma Arlene. Yum-o! Do you remember last year I blogged about going to Family Dinner and Miles had his meltdown? Well this year he was a different kid. Talk about being a big boy! He wasn't phased or cry once! He was so grown up! He played with his cousins and adults, he also ate chicken with the best of them! It was great! Here are some pics of the event.
